Porch project

Inspire’s Porch Project team are based in Hadleigh, providing safe spaces for young people aged 11-18 outside of school hours, as well as supporting all aspects of their wellbeing – be it mental, physical, emotional, or social.

Our youth centre on Hadleigh High Street offers spaces where young people can relax, meet up with friends, play games and develop skills, all in a safe environment. Our youth workers also work within local schools, providing support to young people through our listening and mentoring service.

The Inspire Porch Project team are all about helping young people to thrive. We’re here to help them grow, learn, and build the skills they need for the future. f

Why we're needed

It takes courage to ask for help. But for many young people who do, the support they need just isn’t there. Hundreds of thousands of young people are struggling with their mental health, but too many are being told to wait, struggling to cope and hitting a crisis point before they get help.

But things can get better. And we’re leading the movement for change.

We provide young people with the tools to look after their mental health. We empower adults to be the best support they can be to the young people in their lives. And we give young people the space and confidence to get their voices heard and change the world we live in.

Together, we can create a world where no young person feels alone with their mental health.

Be part of our work

Young people are already doing so much to change the world for the better. You’re already organising, spreading joy, demanding change and sharing your mental health experiences - we want to make these stories impossible to ignore. And through our work with young people, you continue to teach us every day how to keep pushing for the society we all need.
