The Forcer Protocol is a UK-wide police initiative to help locate and protect serving or ex-service personnel (veterans and reservists) who go missing.
The Forcer Protocol is a life-saving preventative measure for UK veterans and serving personnel, including reservists. Pre-share vital details, including health conditions, triggers and safe places, and if you’re ever reported missing, this can help speed up the search and help you access the right support. Born from lived experience and built with UK forces and veterans in mind, the Forcer Protocol is rolling out nationwide.
Whether you’re facing a crisis, navigating life after service, or simply looking for guidance — you are not alone.
Beacon Alert is the name given to the public appeal for information, when a member of the armed forces, and emergency services communities goes missing and is at risk. Through the power of social media, our alerts reach hundreds of thousands in hours, increasing the chances of a safe return.
Every day, veterans and emergency workers face unique challenges, from mental health struggles to feeling disconnected. When someone goes missing, we step in to raise awareness and guide the public in supporting safe resolutions.
How You Can Help:
Share Alerts: Follow us on social media and spread the word when someone goes missing.
Stay Informed: Join our WhatsApp broadcast for updates and resources.
What is a Beacon Alert?
A Beacon Alert is the name we give to the public appeal for information when a veteran or member of the armed forces community goes missing, and is believed to be at risk. In 2025, we added ‘Beacon Alert: Blue Light’ to our service offering, to support the growing number of front-line emergency services workers going missing.
On average, Beacon Alerts reach between 1.5 million and 5 million people, with over half a million reached within the first 24 hours of an alert, where it has been proven to be most effective. By joining this community you are contributing to the safe return of missing persons in a real and tangible way; not to mention, helping shine a spotlight on mental health support for the armed forces and blue light communities.
Who can request a Beacon Alert?
Anyone who is concerned about a missing veteran, service person or emergency services worker can request an alert. You can learn more about how to do this via our Reporting a Missing Person page. Please remember, Beacon Alert is NOT an emergency service. Always report a missing person to the police. If you believe they, or anyone else is at risk, do it via 999.
Our goal is to lift the burden of trauma to enable veterans to begin to live fully – and joyfully

"They are soldiers, people with dignity and pride, and they need to be treated accordingly.” - Naji Malak, CEO/Founder & Practitioner.
We offer specialised trauma and PTSD acupuncture treatment at the hands of someone with 40 years of experience treating military personnel and civilians, carefully placed needles help to lift trauma and its subsequent symptoms.
Our treatment is designed to respect soldiers and their space; we place no demands on patients. We believe talking about your trauma is not always necessary, vulnerable people should not be required to talk about darkness in order to heal.

Our approach is a holistic one that is, we treat the whole person and we avoid simply applying a ‘mental health’ label, which can be simplistic and even damaging.
Treatment starts at the first appointment.
Our treatment protocol works swiftly and effectively most veterans feel an immediate improvement in PTSD symptoms after only one treatment.
Treatment involves a specific acupuncture protocol that was developed by our acupuncturist, Naji Malak, over 35 years of experience in treating both military personnel and civilians suffering from PTSD as a result of civil war, torture, injury and being incarcerated as prisoners of war.
The effectiveness of acupuncture in post-trauma treatment facilities and even in combat zones has been proven, In the United States, for example, battlefield acupuncture has been introduced to medical training programmes in the military and has been applied in action to great effect.
“Health is not the absence of disease. It is a quality of being that allows us to truly live, love, share and enjoy ourselves. It allows us to focus and have enough energy to function successfully in the world, but also to take stock and reflect on where we need to go next. It allows us to share, to communicate, to be open when we need to be and closed when we feel vulnerable or tired.
“But even if you can’t see disease manifesting, that doesn’t necessarily mean that someone is feeling amazing. A lot of people don’t express themselves fully and will just say, ‘I don’t feel well’ – doctors then think they’re OK or simply give medication to calm their anxiety. What’s different about Stand Easy is that people can just call and say, ‘Can I come and see you?’ and we will fit them in immediately, rather than embarking on a process that takes 12 weeks or six months. They are soldiers, people with dignity and pride, and they need to be treated accordingly.
“This is where our approach and our treatment work so well: we can treat and get on with it. Even if there is no desire to talk, we know what to do, because we are trained to do it and we have the evidence of our experience. We find the cause, we relate to that part that is disturbed by trauma, and we put that part right. This is where the holistic approach is so important. This is our vision.”
The symptoms of PTSD are many and varied, below are a few of the more obvious symptoms however for many it's more subtle.
Hyper-vigilance
Feeling tense/nervous or anxious
Panic, terror and nightmares
Insomnia
Depression/despair or hopelessness
Feeling isolated
Problems at work/in relationships
Self destructive tendencies
Suicidal thoughts
You know in yourself if you don't feel right, get in touch and the chances are we can help you. The two most common responses we hear following treatment is "I feel like myself again" and "It feels like something has lifted"
It is our aim to offer swift, effective, no fuss assistance to those struggling with the symptoms of PTSD whether mild or severe.
